Thanksgiving gives raises of travel

This Thanksgiving, are 42.5 million people in the United States needed to the road to family and friends to visit _ the highest number of tourists since the recession.

Travel Tracker AAA says Americans are 4 percent more than last year will be at least 50 km away from home, with about 90 percent of their guide. Another 8 percent of the flight plan, but notes that the increase in AAA rates and fewer seats available has forced many would-be flyers to drive. The travelers were buses, trains or other transport to take.

This is the third consecutive Thanksgiving that Americans took to the streets in greater numbers than last year.
The increase in holiday travel is good news for an industry struggling to get back on the road Americans. Memorial Day has seen an increase in vacation and fell in both July 4 and Labor Day break. AAA says Americans are willing to spend now because they want to spend time with their family.
"As consumers weigh the fear of economic insecurity and the desire for a lasting family memories this holiday, more Americans needed to family and friends more than choosing sobriety," Bill Sutherland, vice president, AAA Travel Services, said in a statement.
Those driving should expect to pay more at the pump. The average price of a gallon of gas so far this November is $ 3.42, nearly 20 percent from last year's $ 2.86, according to AAA, Wright Express and Oil Price Information Service. This means that for every 100 kilometers to the family of drives this festival is expected to about $ 2.50 over the throttle.
Rates for mid-range hotels are expected to increase by 6 percent compared to last years with travelers spending an average of $ 145 per night. Cheap motels seen an increase of 7 percent to $ 103.
Weekend day car rental rates average $ 37, down 11 percent from last year.
AAA said Thanksgiving rates 20 percent higher than last year with a lower average yield rate of $ 212 for the first 40 air routes of the United States. This estimate is much higher than expected 4 percent increase in both Orbitz and Priceline. These companies said that the ticket average was closer to $ 400. (Special report quarterly, but not break the holiday special prices.)
The results are based on a survey of 1357 people in the United States, 543 said they plan to travel.
